Today I describe the lovely time I had last Sunday at the cookbook lovers meet-up group in Salem, Massachusetts. It took place at the House of Seven Gables, here in Salem, made famous by Nathaniel Hawthorne’s novel of the same name.  One of the four houses on this compound was built in 1655, almost 40 years before the Salem witch hysteria, which took place in this very harbor in 1692.

Our group all cooked a recipe from one of Mollie Katzen’s cookbooks. Mollie Katzen specializes in vegetarian cookbooks, and her first book called “The Moosewood Cookbook”  was a worldwide bestseller.

Here are the links that I mentioned in the episode:

I have an episode on a new trend called “food swapping“. Episode 96.

There is also an old episode on “how to eat better on a food stamp budget“. Episode 17.

Back in episode 70, I discuss gluten sensitivity and the leaky gut. Episode 70.
